Then I had my Nihon Maru led fleet sail westward to Noto too(This is where I planned to conduct the epic battle- lol). meanwhile I had my all other heavy bunes from the ports that are still east of it move ahead so the can combine into larger full stack fleets off the coast of noto. But thats ok because the purpose of the those heavy bunes was just to keep track of its current location. Man, this ship is fast, it outsails all the heavy bune I had traveling along it. I also ordered all of my fleets on the southern waters to head out to the sea above noto (overkill mode). As soon as I found it I had all my northern ports send out their newly produced heavy bunes along its predicted path (eastward). Luckily I just had my Nihon Maru fleet unload an invasion army off the coast of echigo. I found it travelling exactly where you said it would be. Just have a fleet waiting by the node or by the top of the island that connects to the rest of japan and you should be able to fight it np, just dont bother chasing it since its movement points are more than anything you're ship have. It starts off by the incense and China silk trade nodes and heads east all the way to the horse trade node by the date starting province, and yes the ship is worth it its firepower is unmatched. The intimidation ability of the Medium Bune is also good to use obviously as it makes your boarding crew kill even more efficiently.
The Black Ship will not have time to start shooting cannons or matchlocks again if you do it right.Īnd the fight becomes so easy it's laughable. Then when your Medium Bune has a little bit of distance, commence boarding again. Now if your Medium Bune crew starts getting low, no worries, just abort the boarding. Your Medium Bune crew will do well against the marines, killing 3 or 4 marines per 1 of your samurai, all the while your other ships are also widdling down its marines with ranged fire. So you take your other two or more vessels, and fire on the crew that is being boarded. It just sits there perfectly still and does nothing while its crew fights. it cannot fire cannons or matchlocks, at all. That's not the main purpose of boarding however, you see, when the Black Ship is about to be boarded or is in the process of being boarded. Now as soon as the battle starts, you order your Medium Bune to go melee and board the Black Ship, the Black Ship has over 300 men however the marines are awful they get slaughtered by your samurai crew. Here's a tactic to make the Black Ship fight a joke, all you need is 2-3 ships, one of which needs to be a Medium Bune or bigger ship the others don't matter as long as they are ranged.
